    • Students are able to observe differences.

  • Engage: Send the students the following padlet link (Link 1). Ask students to post the name of a plant part they eat or to post a picture of it. Provide feedback directly on the padlet. Encourage students to react to each other's answers (You can send a note on the WhatsApp group.)
  • Explore: Have students watch Video 1 till 1:10 and write about the function of the roots in their notebook. Answers can be shared via WhatsApp or school platform.
  • Explain: Provide the students with feedback on their answers.
Elaborate: It is project time. To wrap up the lesson, tell students they will be applying what they have learned about the root by selecting one of the following assignments:
    •  Choice 1- Create a Most Wanted advertisement. Students write up a scenario about a root that has gone missing from a plant. Based on the missing structure, they are creating a Most Wanted poster to find that missing part and why it is necessary for it to be found (you can share Link 2 with students as an example).
    • Choice 2- Create a Job Description advertisement. Students create a company that manufactures plants. They are hiring plant roots so the plants they are making are able to grow, develop, and survive.
Evaluate: Send Link 3 to be solved.
  • Have students recall what they learned by creating a small video. Send Worksheet for homework. In the second session, have students present the projects they created in the Elaborate phase. They can record a video and send it on WhatsApp.
